About Sarah McLean

Sarah McLean is a global go-to teacher for contemporary meditation and mindfulness and has been inspiring people to meditate for over 20 years. She’s the best-selling Hay House author of Soul-Centered: Transform Your Life in 8 Weeks with Meditation which inspires study groups worldwide. Her latest release, The Power of Attention: Awaken to Love and Its Unlimited Potential with Meditation offers a continuation of a journey into the importance of attention and how to gain more intimacy with its source through meditation. With kindness and humor, Sarah will share her secrets to successful meditation and how the meditation path can lead to an ability to be more engaged, compassionate, and clear.

Sarah began her personal meditation practice while working at a Transcendental Meditation center in Massachusetts in 1989. That is also where she began studying mind/body health with Deepak Chopra. She worked with him for eight years eventually relocating to California to serve as the Program Director for the Chopra Center for Wellbeing. After eight years working with him, she traveled the world studying the origins of contemplative practices and learning a variety of meditation techniques. She’s lived in a traditional ashram in India and was a two year resident at a remote Zen Buddhist Monastery. In 2001, she settled in Sedona, Arizona where she founded the McLean Meditation Institute and the international Meditation Teacher Academy®, a licensed, post-secondary educational facility that trains meditation teachers worldwide.

Sarah is a popular facilitator at retreats for the Chopra Center, Esalen, 1440 Multiversity, the Art of Living Retreat Center, and many other world-class getaways. She’s been interviewed on national television, featured in a variety of award-winning movies, and her work has been touted in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times.
